1999 Yamaha Yz 125 - Bored Over Or Not?
Hi,i just bought a used 1999 yamaha yz 125 two-stroke. i am in the process of replacing the top end. my question is: how do i know if it has been bored over or not?the top of the piston reads: 1555e 765m05400 there is nothing else printed anywhere. i just don 't know whether to buy a stock bore or .80 bored over piston.thanks!james (Read answers)

Should I Buy A Suzuki Rm 250 Or A Yamaha Yz 125?
I am 13, weigh about 125, and am 5-6. i currently have a small mini-bike that i use for trail riding at my cabin. i have really enjoyed this and will continue to enjoy it but it does not have enough power for me and i am starting to out grow it. i recently have started looking into motorcycles and thinking about buying one. i would use this motorcycle for trail riding up at my cabin, but also take it to local motocross tracks and practice with it or maybe even enter a mx race. these are the two motorcycles that i have found that i like. also please recommend any other models that you think would help me but try to keep them in the price range. also, in am mx race, will there be a different race for a different bike class? does a 125cc have as much power as a 250cc? thanks!and can i raise or lower the seat height of these bikes? My yz just broke down. it 's due for a rebuild so i was wondering if anyone could direct me to a site to get the basics of rebuilding ?? if not, i 'll just ask the local mechanic. any help would be appreciated. thanks. (Read answers)

2001 Yamaha Yz 125 Will Not Start?
I just recently bought the bike off of a guy on kijiji for $1,800. it 's a really nice bike and it ran great until it ran out of gas. i filled the bike with fuel and oil mixture 22:1 and now it won 't start, so i went on the web and researched what the mixture should be because i did not get a manual with the bike and on the site i was on it said the proper mixture is 32:1 so i went and drained the gas out of the bike and put 32:1 in it and it still wont start....please help!!! (Read answers)
